I ate here with my friends, we came in and the owners were extremely kind and pleasant to be around. We ordered our food with lots of good suggestions from the owners. Everything on their menu sounded delicious. I ordered Uncle Pete's Patty Melt along with a poutine and it was delicious. The poutine came out first and was extremely quick. The cheese and gravy used was high quality and melted perfectly over the fries. The burger was amazing with the special sauce being the perfect cherry on top. It was extremely filling. After we decided to order the cream cheese wontons and they were like a fair food right in a comfortable restaurant. They were the perfect temperature with the right amount of sweetness and crunch. I would 100% recommend Smokin Pete's Burger Stop no matter the item, every item that came out looked delicious whether the Home wrecking Hotdog, the Uncle Pete Patty Melt, or the poutine, it was all delicious. Eating at Smokin Pete's is the right choice.

Went on a friend’s recommendation and was not disappointed. Best burger in Barrie I’m not exaggerating. The owners just took over this past winter and have created the most delicious burger stop. They are incredibly friendly and you can tell they make their food with care for their customers. I’m already excited to eat here again.

Drove by this place the other day and made a note to try it out. Am I glad I did. The food is amazing! I ordered a burger and poutine and both were just perfect. The burger was perfectly done, not over or under cooked. The ingredients tasted fresh, unlike the chain restaurants. The poutine was above average. The fries they use are crispy and flavored. Maybe a little more gravy next time, but overall, no complaints. Customer service is great too. I could tell there's pride of ownership. I will be a regular from now on.

There's a reason Pete's has such a high rating! If you haven't tried this place and are thinking about it, get over there! Stopped in here for dinner tonight and glad we did! Ordered a basic bacon cheeseburger, poutine, chili cheese tots and a pulled pork poutine. Pulled pork was very nice and well made, not sure if it's in-house but very good, bbq sauce was sweet and paired well with the gravy. Fries looked and tasted fresh cut. Poutine was really good, gravy was bomb and they use real cheese curds. Chili that was on the tots was very good! I'd order it by itself, lots of chunks of meat. And it's chili and cheese (queso) on tater tots, of course it was awesome. Finally the burger, cooked perfectly, great fresh bun, lots of fresh ingredients and thir burger was seasoned well. It's not very often I can eat a burger without adding more condiments, and this was one of those times! Equally important was the service, which was friendly and super helpful from the moment we walked in, we felt comfortable. Great job team!

The new burger shop. Outstanding food and service. The pulled pork poutine was the bomb. Cheese and gravy and pork all the way to the last bite. My son raves about his burger lots of bacon, cheese with a thick patty.

Had a fantastic experience at Smokin Pete’s. The menu was very clear, prices are really reasonable for the quality of food. Extraordinarily friendly service, I’ll be back more regularly after my first experience here. This is a restaurant for alphas.

Just wanted to share that this place is NOW excellent. They a used to serve basic coated frozen fries ( think Costco) and they were not great. Co-workers and I didn't go back for a year. Very underwhelming. Recently they have changed over to serving amazing fresh cut fries which makes all the difference. Paired with a really good burger. It's now a place we will return to time and time again. The staff is always very nice and the quality is now excellent. Highly recommend.

OMG second time there and they nailed it out of the park. They messed up my order but have now created something new and it was absolutely delicious. Should be on the menu as Casey’s Poutine. A cajun tater tot poutine with chilli and nacho cheese. Not sure how this can get any better. It is so heavy and filling you could get two meals out of it and it’s still delicious the next day.
