L.L.B.O. - Stop by for a beverage and stay for the food & entertainment!
A local gem!! Run like a Swiss watch but with all the friendliness of your favourite local diner! Our server Dawn was a real delight and super efficient - we felt very well taken care of! Saturday special was prime rib and the guys really enjoyed their choice. Mom had a Caesar salad and I had a chicken bacon cheddar burger with Greek salad. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
Our server Reina was awesome, made sure we knew the specials, she was at our table making sure we had what we needed before we could even notice we needed something. We had garlic bread and fish and chips. The food was good, hearty portions. The thing that will have me back was the service. I can see why they are so busy on fish Fridays despite Captain Ken’s almost sharing a wall. Great Service! Will return!
Great meal here! We were in a little bit of a rush because we were going to the theater. But all 7 of us were served in a timely manner with hot food. Food was really good and service was great too! Went for breakfast, was great! I would highly recommend going for any meal any time of day!
A really comfortable atmosphere with terrific food. Big portions at a very reasonable price. The servers are always friendly and efficient. If you haven't eaten here, you should.
What a lovely, clean restaurant. As soon as you walk in you are made to feel welcome. The service is so friendly and so attentive. The food was amazing. Not only tasted great but the presentation was beautiful. Wish I had taken pictures of the soup and desert. They were so good. We had rice pudding and apple crumble. The coffee was so good. Like a nice warm hug. We will definitely come back.
Ordered the spaghetti special. The sauce was quite tasty as was the bowl of chicken dumpling soup (which was a bit salty for my taste). The chicken schnitzel was also good but the vegetables were lukewarm and watery.
We have gone several times. Phil's is our go to restaraunt. Food is good and reasonable prices. Relaxed atmosphere. It's an older building appearance wise, and has older building problems. Old style home cooking. If you need a high end fancy restraunt to appease you palette. Or if you want to substitute everything for things not on the menu, this isn't the place to go. And you will ruin everyone else's meal. I am a picky eater with a lot of food allergies and a sensitive stomach and pretty much a vegetarian. I always find good food and no belly ache after eating. Which is rhe opposite of what I get from most places. That tells me the food is made carefully with little to no cross contamination. And it tells me that kitchen is always clean and everyone is clean. And it means your not getting reheated or deep fried food that is as old as your car. This restaraunt isn't a franchise, so it's quiet. There isn't 20 something children running around with the music so jacked that you're deaf. It's locally owned and operated. So you can support your community by going here.
Large portions, cheap price. It’s not a high end place, but that’s part of the charm with it. It’s exactly what you would expect from a small town diner. The food tastes good, you get large portions, and the price is unmatched. A great spot to eat any time of the day.
Nice family restaurant with excellent food and friendly people, worth visiting if you are in the area.
We went here for dinner, I ordered the captain's meal and my friend ordered spaghetti with meatballs. Home cooked, my meal contained breaded haddock, 3 pieces shrimp battered, and another 3 pieces of shrimp coconut battered flavor, with veggies and salad. We enjoyed and had clean plates. Would recommend and would like to go back, to try their all you can eat fish on Wednesday's. No wait and no reservations,
